It's not words but colors, lines and shapes that make me want to paint.
I take photographs on my travels, near and far.
I photograph the florist's stall at my local market, a model's back, wild grasses and succulents, thinking of future paintings.
I select and frame the subjects, the motifs, with one aim in mind: to paint.
To paint. That's all. Without looking for words, phrases or ideas. Just shapes, lines and colors.
