For over twenty years, Bruno Solques has been exhibiting his ceramics alongside the breads, pastries and other delicacies he likes to display in his bakery in Paris's fifth arrondissement. A relationship with the material, between raw dough and baked clay, that he shapes dawn after dawn in his insatiable hands.
"By dint of kneading bread, I wanted to knead something else, so I switched to clay. The two are linked, clay firing, bread firing, enamels, mixing. Kneading is very important, and above all, very pleasant.
The importance of mixing, of his passions for bread and ceramics, to the point of exhibiting both in the bakery.
Bruno makes the bread he sells, buys ceramics as he makes them. Both a creator and a collector, he has enjoyed unearthing and acquiring pieces from artists whose work he admires.
