Showcase of scalloped form in rosewood veneer inlaid with foliage. It has a leaf and glazed sides in the upper part. Projecting mounts ending with curved feet. Peach blossom marble top. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes with palm leaves and foliage such as: framing rods, openwork cartouches, falls, apron and slippers. Signed F. Linke on a bronze on the front top left (photo opposite). H. 172 cm = L. 100 cm = D. 45 cm. François Linke. Famous cabinetmaker of the end of the XIXth century, specialist of the interpretation of the furniture of style. He collaborated with the sculptor Léon Messager around 1895 who created bronzes of very high quality. His works are of a great quality of execution. He published, after 1900, an illustrated catalog with some views of his salons, place Vendôme. He was awarded a gold medal at the 1900 Universal Exhibition (*)
