Besson, Delegate of the National Convention to the Departments of Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne. Dated 7 Messidor, Year III of the French Republic (June 25, 1795). Poster (52 x 41 cm) printed in Bordeaux by the V.e J. B. Cavazza Printing House. Decree authorizing the administration of the Gironde Department to remove the seals affixed to the registers and documents of the sections and the People’s Society of the Commune of Bordeaux. The text orders a summary inventory of the documents in order to gather the information necessary to rule on the claims of citizens included on the list of terrorists. Signed A. Besson. Republican vignette engraved in the header and central typographic frieze. Pencil note, normal creases, damage along the edges with small losses.
