Katherine Librowicz

Tribute to Katherine Librowicz

Born into a family of painters in Poland, Katherine continued the family tradition, devoting her entire life to her passion for painting. In oil, watercolor, pencil, pen and red chalk, she worked tirelessly from an early age until her death.

Her nature was fiery, her spirit sparkling. She was gifted with extreme sensitivity. Totally inhabited by her art, she identified with her models, whether landscapes or faces. She captured their souls, colors and light, becoming one with them.

And she also knew how to put as much fire and love into her life as a woman - wife, mother, friend - as she did into her work. Her exceptional personality attracted all those who crossed her path like a magnet.

She left behind a body of work remarkable for its abundance and beauty.
