Very good condition: small printing defects along the margins. 65 x 50 cm Maurice Tirmarche is an artist who participated, among other movements, in "Op art", or optical art, an expression used to describe certain artistic practices and research carried out from the 1960s onwards, which exploit the fallibility of the eye through illusions or optical games. Works of op art give the impression of movement, bursts of light and vibration or alternating movements. These visual stimuli place the viewer's body in an unstable situation, between pleasure and displeasure, plunged into a sensation of vertigo akin to certain states of mild intoxication.
