MANZON Serge (1930-1998). - Lot 102
MANZON Serge (1930-1998).
Rare wooden table lamp, silver and gilded brass shell, bulb cover and base. Edition Pierre Cardin 1975. Small dent on bulb cover.
Signed.
H. 41 cm.
This rare 1975 version of the lamp is the inspiration for the Éclair series produced in 1978, which will be available in different materials, brass and lacquer. Notable differences are the shape of the narrower base, its vertical positioning and the position of the bulb cover. In the 1978 version, the base is wider and inclined, and the bulb cover is positioned halfway up.
