AIR FORCE. - Lot 342
AIR FORCE. LENGELLE Paul. The French Air Force. Circa 1953. Lithographic poster. Havas. Wrapped, good condition: restored soiling and tears in the margins, including one running down into the image (3 cm), bright, fresh colors. 99 x 66 cm "In 1953, the French Air Force received its first Noratlas Nord 2501 transport aircraft, which would become a legend. This poster shows it being loaded. In the sky, a patrol of three Venoms aircraft passes by, which France has been using since the post-war period. The de Havilland Venom is a British fighter from the 1950s. Directly descended from the de Havilland Vampire, it was derived into a version capable of operating from aircraft carriers, the Sea Venom. France obtained a license to produce the Sea Venom, the navalized version".
