Round pewter wedding platter with scalloped edge engraved in full with two pigeons carrying a flowering branch on either side of a monstrance and two flamed candlesticks.
A heart at the top bears the initials MD.
Stamped by Jean-Louis II PEUTY: 1° - crowned rose / I.L PEUTY. 2° - Saint Michel / (I.L) P.

Mastered in Béthune in 1810, he settled in Brussels in 1830, after a probable short stay in CAMBRAI; one of the two hallmarks affixed to this dish depicts Saint Michel and thus places this work after 1830, in Brussels - perfect condition and well hallmarked.
