VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, attributed to Lot of 8 preparatory drawings for different versions of scrolled earrings, adorned with rubies and sapphires. Most are numbered. Gouache and pencil on tracing paper (some tears and folds). These drawings recall the ruby earrings designed by René Sim Lacaze for an advertising poster and commissioned for the Comtesse de Camargo, as well as a sapphire version made for the Princess of Kapurthala, featured in the book "Van Cleef & Arpels - l'art de la haute joaillerie", edited by Evelyne Possémé, p-106.
