JAPAN - Late EDO period (1603 - 1868), 19th century Daisho of nagamaru gatana gata in sentoku openwork in kage-sukashi and inlaid in gilded copper with Futen and Raiden (gods of wind and thunder), one holding a mallet and the other an uchiwa (slight oxidation). One signed Toshiharu, dated Genji era, year of the rat, (1864), on the other copied from Toryusai. H. 8.1 and 7.6 cm Reference: a similar tsuba in the Walters Art Museum, accession number 51.90
