Valentin Hanotel, son of Philippe I, lieutenant of Cauchy and bailli of Ferfay, was received as a bourgeois of Arras on June 16, 1564, by finance of 6 carolus; he pursued an administrative career: procurator, clerk of taxes for Artois, collector of Pas and Pernes on September 28, 1556.
