Autograph letter signed "to a little Germaine who knows almost everything from birth, and for whom I was more than once the old 'apprentice' with my aunt and deep affection" on title page.
Germaine Patat was the owner and manager of a fashion house, and Henry de Jouvenel's mistress when Colette was his wife, though the affection between the two women continued. Paperback in-8, spine creased with loss at tail.
