JAPAN, UMETADA SCHOOL - EDO period (1603 - 1868), 18th century Iron maru gata openworked in maru bori and inlaid in gilt copper and shakudo nunome zogan with unfolded scrolls on which lines from the Senjimon (Thousand-character Classic) are inscribed, and from two of the seven classical Chinese military books of the Warring Kingdoms period: Wuzi (吳子) and Weiliaozi (尉繚子).
