JAPAN - EDO period (1603 - 1868), 19th century Daisho of nagamaru gata in sentoku openwork kage-sukashi of kappa under the moon and under a willow-tree, one with a fishing rod, the other with a cucurbit. One signed Edo (no) ju Kiyoshige followed by kao, the other Tanaka Kiyoshige followed by kao and dated Bunkyu Kigai (1863). H. 7.9 and 8.2 cm Wooden box. Featured in the exhibition Samouraïs. Guerriers et esthètes, Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire, Strasbourg, from March 11 to July 13, 2022, and is reproduced in the exhibition catalog, n°091-092, p.116.
