CHINE - Fin Dynastie QING (1644 - 1911) Pair of folding armchairs (jiao yi) in wood. The horseshoe-shaped backrest is made of five pieces of wood extending into rolled armrests. The wide openwork back post features a chilong at the top and a chimera in foliage at the center. The seat is made of leather netting and the belt is carved with vegetal chilong. The junctions of the wooden parts are adorned with gilded copper fleurons, and the footrest is adorned with an interlocking rhomboid motif in gilded copper. H. 105 cm L. 73.5 cm
