JAPON - Epoque EDO (1603 - 1868) Rectangular black-brown lacquer box with mother-of-pearl inlay and gold lacquer decoration of a lakescape framed by a frieze of geometric rosette motifs. The lock is formed by a chased silver plate decorated with cherry trees and bamboo. Red lacquer interior (wear, missing parts, alterations). Dim 12.9 x 30.7 x 15.1 cm.
