Mounted on a painted panel captioned for Schlesinger, Davi's Coy circa 1850 L. 92 cm The steam yacht Anthracite was built at Wallsend on Tyne by Schlesinger, Davis and Company for Robert McCalmont to test the new Perkins steam engine system on a transatlantic voyage, which he successfully completed in 1880.
