Suite of six 1/1200th scale wooden models of Cunard Line liners by Basset, including Saxonia, Aquitania, Mauritania (2), Berengaria, and Samaria. Circa 1960 Size of display case: H. 38 cm W. 25 cm D. 11.5 cm Provenance: Collection of Captain Derek Head The RMS Saxonia was used as a prison ship in 1914-15, the second model of the RMS Mauretania represents her in her later livery, the RMS Berengario was the former Hamburg America Line SS Imperator transferred to Cunard for war reparations and renamed Berengaria in 1921 in honor of King Richard L.'s wife.
