Publisher's cardboard in caramel cross-bound percaline "aux bouquets de roses" of type 3 bound by Magnier. Gilt edges. Original endpapers. Printed by Bonaventure and Gauthier-Villars (false title). First illustrated edition and first hardback with errors on the engravings pages 25 and 32. Brightly gilded boards which stand out well in this rare caramel color and with a cross-braided percaline. Interior free of Bonaventure's freckles. Very slight tear on the lower edge of the first board.
