Academician's outfit of Count Arnaud de GRAMONT, elected to the Academy of Sciences in 1913, including: - Bicorn in black taupe felt edged with black feathers. Ganse and button embroidered with olive branches in green and yellow cotton thread. Three-color cockade. Inside ivory silk monogrammed A.G. (wear) - Suit basques in black cloth embroidered with olive branches in green and yellow cotton thread, with nine buttons in a row - Black pants with embroidered braid in a row of the olive branch of academics. Scratched "Lappont 3, rue de Choiseul_Paris". The pants carry a label: LAPPONT 3, rue de Choiseul Paris. Mr the Count of Gramont. June 24, 1903. B.E. Arnaud de Gramont, son of General Alfred de Gramont, himself brother of Antoine X, specialized, after having obtained a doctorate in sciences, in spectroscopy. His work earned him election to the Academy of Sciences in 1913. In 1920, he helped his first cousin, Armand-Antoine, in the creation of the Institute of Optics.
