EUGENE NAPOLEON (Eugène de BEAUHARNAIS).
Autograph letter signed and addressed on February 23, 1808 of Milan, as Viceroy of Italy, to his Minister of the Marien and the war. He confirms to him that he places at his disposal the whole of the Neapolitan galleys available in order to constitute an armada. At the head of Italy which had become, after Napoleon's coronation, a monarchy of which he was viceroy and Napoleon King, Eugène Napoleon, Napoleon's adopted son and heir apparent to the Italian crown, prepared the army of Italy for the war against the Austrians which would begin in 1809.
