SALLUSTE / Gaius Sallustius Crispus :
Coniuratio Catilinae et Bellum Iuguthinum. Wax binding in-12: plates decorated with ochre, coarse, fawn wax interlacing set with hot-stamped fillets on sifted background, spine smooth and decorated but gilt faded, three gilt edges, restorations on head and hinges. Set in modern full black morocco wrappers, first plate with a plexiglass window, smooth spine, gold lettering and date at foot, signed Patrice Goy and Carine Vilaine. Printed in Lyon by Antoine Gryphe 1570. Printed in Roman characters, one column of 32 lines. Letters and notes in margins. Some stains and traces of wetness. Signature of the printer on the last leaf suggesting that this is his copy, such a binding being surprising for a classical text book.
