Angers libraire-éditeur Charles de Boingne et Clément Alexandre, printed in Paris by Antoyne Cousteau (Galliot Du Pré, his woodcut at the end of the work), January 1529. First edition. Title page rubricated in red, woodcut framing in the name of Gaillot du Pré, a handwritten note at the bottom of the page "janvier ". Printed in gothic type, one column of 48 lines, notes in margin. Letters. Complete with the three woodcuts: the one on the back of the title page representing the arms of France, the full-page one representing a scene where the author, kneeling, offers his work to Louise of Savoy, mother of François I, in the presence of an assembly and finally an in-text representing the Trojans building the city of Angers. A few small worm holes not affecting the text, fresh interior. Rare first edition of the first history of the duchy of Anjou composed by the canon Jean de Bourdigné and finished by a fellow Angevin by the name of Jean Pélerin.
