HYGINUS Gaius Julius :
De astronomia. In-octavo full cream bradel cardboard, smooth and mute spine. Printed in Venice, Thomas de Blavis de Alexandria, January 20, 1485. Printed in Latin, one column of 34 lines. Letters and 48 woodcuts, including a zodiac sphere in frontispiece. Some handwritten annotations in the margin. A few stains, but overall fresh inside. A manual of astronomy combining scientific knowledge and stellar legends, first published in 1475 without illustrations. An illustrated edition appeared in 1482, this is a reprint of the latter. This edition is "remarkable for the curious and well engraved wooden figures with which it is decorated" (Brunet).
