Robert LEVRAC-TOURNIERES (Ifs 1667 - Caen 1752)
Woman in a temple Canvas 49,5 x 36,5 cm (wear and restorations) Robert Tournières was a student of Lucas Delahaye, Bon Boullogne and Hyacinthe Rigaud. He was admitted twice to the Royal Academy: the first time in 1702 as a portrait painter, the second time on October 24, 1716 as a history painter with the Invention of drawing. Our painting can be dated to this period, in the 1710s. We thank Eddie Tassel for confirming the attribution.
