Brass statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, seated in padmasana on a base decorated with two rows of lotus petals, hands in bhumisparsa mudra (gesture of taking the earth as witness), the edge of his monastic robe inlaid with copper and chiseled with undulating motifs. The nails and the whites of the eyes are also inlaid with copper, the pupils and the edge of the forehead inlaid with silver. The face is serene, the eyes half-closed and the lobes stretched out, the hair gathered in a bun topped with the ushnisa. H. 18.4 cm.
