Pair of cabriolet armchairs in molded wood, carved with flowers, foliage, ribbons and cream relacquered. Violin back, whip-like armrests, curved legs. About 1760-1765 H. 87 cm. L. 57 cm. D. 50 cm (reinforcements, accident to a foot) Jean-Baptiste GOURDIN, received Master in 1748 Although not stamped, these armchairs are in suite with a pair of chairs and an armchair stamped Jean-Baptiste Gourdin, part of the Grog-Carven donation (1973) and preserved in the Louvre museum.
