Two locks of chestnut hair attributed to the Emperor Napoleon I Under glass, on an ivory silk background, encircled with gilded brass. 11 x 9 cm. With history on the back: "Hair lock of the Emperor Napoleon I from M.MEYER former master hairdresser attached to the person of the Emperor and died in 1854. It was originally contained in an envelope bearing a red wax seal with the large imperial arms and this autograph inscription "to the Empress Josephine". This autograph relic was transmitted by Mrs. Widow Meyer to her grandson, Mr. Ferdinand NUTELSE, who was the first husband of my maternal aunt, who died in 1938. Paris July 1959. Dunois."
