HERGÉ
- Original drawing : Superb Indian ink drawing (8,5 x 10,5 cm) representing Tintin carrying an open box used as a cover for The Bird of Peace published in 1986. The publication of the album, after Hergé's death, suggests that the drawing was entirely made by the studios. However, the cover of the album also features Snowy and a dove, which do not appear on this drawing. One may wonder why a complete drawing was not made directly? We note that the proposed original has an angular cut on the right side. Is it a drawing by the master that was reused and completed for the publication of the album? The high quality of the drawing does not allow us to rule out this hypothesis. Sidebar.
