[CÉLINE, Louis-Ferdinand]. PARAZ, Albert (1899-1957), écrivain et journaliste français.
2 L.A.S. and 4 L.D.S., to Nicolas Kousnetzoff, nicknamed Popoff. 1953-1954. 6 pp. ½ in-4. One-sheet binder punchings. A few small effrangures. Beautiful and interesting set evoking notably Louis-Ferdinand Céline. "[...] don't mow down the catalogue, the director of the institute said that Céline's books and mine were "reserved for insiders". That you had to have "the password", but he didn't tell me which one.... "I'll send you "The Lake of Songes" and then the "Daughter of Thunder", of which in principle I see a sequel taking place in Russia..." [May 18, 1953]. "[...] Don't worry about the catalogue of the French Institute of Freiburg. I've got it. A German mowed it down and sent it to me. Obviously my books are not in it, nor those of CELINE, but that's normal: you have to think of Mary's children [...]". April 30, 1953]. "...] I have no index against me on the radio. I did exactly the same thing when Henri Miller came to see me. I was a bit upset that these illiterate assholes who live in three of my houses only come to see me when I have visitors [...]. There would be a fortune to be made by registering guys who are a little out of the loop right now. Pierre Bonardi, Rebatet, Mézigue and Céline of course. Only we would have to tie up a lot of money, these guys won't do it for nothing..." [February 23rd 1954]. "[...] In "Sainte Marie" there is neither c... nor b... but it doesn't seem to work. Also, I'm going to come back to the "Petrushka" style and, according to Celine's advice, we enc... cardinals. That'll teach them to make me wait for the imprimatur! [...]" [December 17, 1954].
