DanHôo (1966)
La chance, 2018 Acrylic on canvas signed, titled and dated on the back. 180 x 128 cm Of Chinese origin, Danhôo moved to Paris in 1983. Assistant to Erro, Combas and JonOne, Danhôo will soon rub shoulders with many contemporary artists from urban cultures such as Ernest Pignon Ernest before devoting himself fully to painting. His work is inspired by the symbols of Asian calligraphy as a base by placing ideograms on the white canvas. He then works on the ground to explore the flat areas of the paintings by flowing, which gives the painting a texture, a work in relief and new material. In the manner of Jackson Pollock, Danhôo uses the techniques of Dripping and All-Over for his creations.
