Exceptional dining room furniture in Indian rosewood veneer and Cuban mahogany including an Italian-style extensible table and a suite of eight chairs. The table base has four columns forming high "olive" balusters enhanced by two double circular protrusions. It rests on a rectangular stepped base and supports an entablature consisting of large square elements, with a rectangular cross-section spacer. Stamped with iron under the "Ruhlmann" belt. The suite of eight chairs with flat, slightly curved backs and uprights extending into tapered rear legs and sabre legs at the front is covered with green (damaged) leather and brown fabric covers. Circa 1932-1933.
