Côtes rocheuses Oil on canvas signed lower right 60 x 83 cm Lucien SEEVAGEN (1897-1959) Lucien Seevagen, born on 28 January 1887 in Chaumont (Haute-Marne) and died on 24 June 1959 in Île-de-Bréhat is a French painter, who notably painted numerous works representing the Bréhat archipelago He studied at the École des arts décoratifs in Paris. From 1907, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français, then at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'automne. The Marcel Bernheim gallery often exhibits him. In 1920, the painter and his wife moved permanently to Le Birlo on the island of Bréhat, in Brittany.
