CONTEMPORARY CREATIONS

The CRÉATIONS CONTEMPORAINES sale on Sunday, February 5, 2023 offers art lovers an eclectic selection of 472 works, including 46 pieces of Mail art, priced at 10 euros. Seventeen paintings by Yves CORBASSIERE and a dozen oil paintings by Jacques VIGOT will be dispersed. As usual, sculpture and ceramics will be represented, with, among others, the bronzes of Frédéric VINCENT or the now well-known Bois flottés of Marc BOURLIER. Abstract art, expressionism and photography will not be lacking, as well as Outsider art with, for example, the compositions of Paul DUHEM, SANFOURCHE, Gus FINK and John McKIE.

Y. CORBASSIERE, painter, sculptor and lithographer, was born in 1925 in Paris and died in Poissy in 2020. After the war, in the prosperous years of St Germain des Prés, he was close to Boris Vian. His work, which can be compared to action painting, is particularly well known in the USA where he lived and taught. His paintings and decorations on the theme of space have earned him commissions from NASA, his paintings are part of the collections of some forty American museums. In Paris, he restored the painted ceilings of the Lasserre restaurant.

J. VIGOT was born in 1948 in the Manche region of France. Both a painter and a jazz musician, he has taught art all his life. His works are an ode to the fantasy of colors and forms, with poetic titles not devoid of humor. He was a student of Gustave SINGIER at the Beaux-Arts de Paris and was encouraged in his career by Daniel HUMAIR of whom he was a friend. In addition to numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, being present in multiple private collections, he also created stained glass windows for the Chapel of Baptresse in 2013. He passed away in 2018.

La vente volontaire sera faite expressément au comptant en Euros. 

Les acquéreurs paieront en sus de l’adjudication pour les objets et par lot 25 % T.T.C. (20,84 % H.T. + T.V.A. 20 % et pour les livres (23,70 % H.T. + T.V.A. 5,5 %).

Le plus offrant et dernier enchérisseur sera l’adjudicataire.

En cas de double enchère reconnue effective par la Société de Vente aux enchères, son opérateur ou le Commissaire-Priseur judiciaire, l’objet sera remis en vente, tous les amateurs présents pouvant concourir à cette deuxième mise en adjudication.

L’ordre du catalogue sera suivi. Les dimensions et le nombre des pièces indiquées sont données à titre indicatif.

Tous les objets modernes ou anciens sont vendus sous garantie de la Société de Vente aux enchères ou du Commissaire-Priseur judiciaire et, s’il y a lieu, de l’expert qui l’assiste, suivant les désignations portées au catalogue et compte tenu des rectifications annoncées au moment de la présentation du lot et portées sur le procès-verbal de la vente. La présentation des photos sur le site Internet vaut exposition préalable, celle ci permettant aux acquéreurs de se rendre compte ( dans une moindre mesure) de l’état des biens mis en vente, il ne sera admis aucune réclamation une fois l’adjudication prononcée, notamment pour les restaurations d’usage, les petits accidents, les taches ou déchirures, l’état sous la dorure, les peintures ou les laques. Les conditions d’état des tableaux sont disponibles en français et en anglais auprès de l’expert. La responsabilité de l'opérateur de la maison de vente et des commissaires-priseurs, et le cas échéant des experts, se prescrit par 5 ans à compter de l'adjudication ou de la prisée.
