Le musée de l'Ermitage à Saint Petersbourg conserve nombreuses toiles d'Hubert ROBERT de format et de sujets similaires à nos tableaux. « Le Paysage à l'obélisque » ainsi que le « Paysage à la cascade peuvent être comparés à nos toiles (paire de toiles, 311 x 146 cm ; voir The Hermitage, catalogue Western European Painting, French Painting, Eighteenth Century », Florence, 1986, n° 222 et 221, reproduits).
Nos tableaux rappellent également un ensemble de toiles de collection Youssoupov qui décorait autrefois sa propriété Arkhangelskoïe, aujourd'hui à Saint Petersbourg (voir le catalogue de l'exposition Hubert ROBERT et Saint Petersbourg, « Les commandes de la Famille Impériale et des Princes russes entre 1773 et 1802 », Valence, Musée des Beaux-Arts, 1999, n° 31 à 34).

Il existe ainsi plusieurs ensembles de toiles décoratives de format similaire. Pierre de NOLHAC mentionne également une suite de onze tableaux provenant du Château de Villemereuil (dont le propriétaire, l'amiral Legendre, était l'ami de Hubert ROBERT) qui figurait dans la vente anonyme, 15 mars 1868, n° 4 à 10 (voir P. de NOLHAC, Hubert ROBERT 1733-1808, Paris, 1910, pp. 132-134).

The museum of the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg keeps(preserves) Hubert Robert's numerous paintings(clothes) of size(format) and similar subjects in our paintings (boards). " The Landscape in the obelisk " as well as the " Landscape in the waterfall (stunt) can be compared with our paintings(clothes) (linen pair, 311 x 146 cms ; see The Hermitage, Western catalog European Painting, French Painting, Eighteenth Century ", Florence, on 1986, N 222 and 221, reproduced).
Our paintings (boards) also call back a set of paintings (clothes) of collection Youssoupov which decorated formerly its property Arkhangelskoïe, today in Saint Petersburg (to see the catalog of the exhibition (exposure) Hubert Robert and Saint Petersburg, " The commands (orders) of the Imperial Family and the Russian Princes between 1773 and 1802 ", Valencia, Museum of the Fine arts (School of Fine Arts), on 1999, N 31 in 34).

There are so several sets (groups) ornamental paintings (clothes) of similar size (format). Pierre de NOLHAC also mentions a continuation(suite) of eleven paintings (boards) resulting from the Castle of Villemereuil (among which the owner, admiral Legendre, was the friend of Hubert Robert) who appeared in the anonymous sale, in March 15th, 1868, N 4 in 10 (to see P. de NOLHAC, Hubert Robert 1733-1808, Paris, on 1910, pp. 132-134).
